1 Introduction

The ekey fingerprint access control system is weather resistant that is suitable for indoor or outdoor

environment and is designed for controlling:

• The opening and closing of doors equipped with electrical strikes, m ag ne tic lo c ks , or any electrified

locking mechanism;

• The arming and disarming of the burglary security systems configured with momentary key-switch;

• The opening and closing of the garage or gate doors operated by an electrical opener;

• The activation and deactivation of any device that is operated by an on/off switch;

• The authentication or identification of users in physical or logical any application.

The ekey fingerprint system is not a lock; rather it is a biometric identification system that it is used to convey its

authentication results through either physical or logically interfaces.

• Physical interface using ekey control units with dry contact closures for controlling electrical strike,

magnetic lock, electrified lock, solenoid, or any electrified system or any device that can be controlled by

on/off switch. ekey control unit allow the same user to perform different access functions by using

different fingers to activate different relays. For example:

1. First Finger activates relay #1 to control front door electric strike;

2. Second Finger activates relay#2 to arm / disarm the security System;

3. Third Finger activates relay#3 to set the security System in a panic situation.

• Logical interface such as Wiegand, UDP, HTTP, ODBC, or pain text file using outbound data connection

from ekey (one way communication only) to any non-ekey system

The ekeyUSA product line consists of the followings families:

ekey home

basic standalone access control solution using one scanner 99 fingerprints

ekey multi

extended standalone access control solution using up to 4 scanners total 99 fingerprints

ekey net

advance networkable access control solution unlimited scanners each scanner could be

40, 200, or 2000 fingerprints.

Bio-entry

integrated ekey access control system (home, multi, or net) with an audio-visual entry

system.
